Getting it right for families?

Celebrating and evaluating family support

The ninth annual Parents' Week will take place from Monday 20 October to Sunday 26 October 2008.

The Week will be

• a celebration of the valuable work you do with families in all their shapes and sizes
• a time to examine how you can be more effective
• an opportunity for us to ensure that your work is recognised and valued and ensure that the issues affecting families today are kept at the top of the political agenda.

The two aims of this year's Week are:
1. to offer practitioners working with parents and families practical support to hold their own 'listening event' with families to evaluate their work
2. to showcase how practitioners are successfully supporting families across the country.

We hope that Parents' Week will help you to:

• celebrate the achievements of your service over the last year
• listen to what parents and families thik of your service
• invite new families in your area to visit you
