We work in partnership with parents and children in East Leeds to provide a flexible, holistic, home-based family support service to children and families in difficulty. We aim to help parents increase their ability to meet their children's needs. We are part of NCH and were established in 2001.

Through the Parenting Fund we are now able to expand our service to a larger part of East Leeds. It will also enable us to work with families with older children and with families where mental health issues, domestic violence, drug and alcohol misuse make parenting difficult.

We will continue with the following work but across a larger area:

  • one-to one support for children and parents on issues such as behavioural difficulties, truancy, bullying, drugs and alcohol misuse, health concerns, offending
  • help to access specialist services such as benefits, health and skills training
  • parenting skills groups and children's activity groups
  • occasional outings for all the families to mix and enjoy.
