For over 56 years, the charity fsu has developed pioneering ways of reaching out to vulnerable families by providing culturally appropriate support and emphasising one-to-one work. The wide range of communities and cultures that we work with demonstrates our success in reaching out to people reluctant to engage with mainstream organisations.
We will use our grant in Manchester to provide a number of family support services within the North and East of Manchester by:
- supporting the parents' forum through regular local meetings.
- production of a parenting newsletter
- developing a group of volunteer parents to deliver 'survival' training.
- creating opportunities to develop skills in communication, IT and multi agency working.
