The Bandywood Families Project is administered by Saint Mark's Community Developments (Charity Number 1121184). The project works mainly on the Bandywood Estate, in the Oscott Ward of the City of Birmingham. It provides a wide range of activities from Stay and Play sessions through to Parenting Skills. It prides itself on being adaptable and having a multifaceted approach to the work.

The Bandywood Estate is a relatively small area of about 1500 homes and divides up into 4 enumeration areas, which are on the edge of becoming SOA's as the present economic situation continues. There is a high percentage of lone parent families, many with few qualifications. Children often start school from a disadvantaged point and the project seeks to address this problem in it's work.
