Title & Aim of the project:
Quaggy Community Counselling Service Extension
Aim of the project:
Quaggy Community Counselling Service ( QCCS) aims to provide a welcoming and confidential counselling service for adults that is accessible to all members of the community. The Parenting Fund grant will be used to extend the work of the Quaggy Community Counselling Service (QCCS) and improve accessibility for parents in the West Ward of Greenwich. This project will extend the service's opening hours at the centre enabling us to engage a second team of volunteer counsellors offering up to 18 additional evening sessions during the week. Extended opening hours will make the service more accessible to parents who work during the daytime and also give more flexibility in offering daytime slots to parents who require crèche services. During Year 2 the project will extend our reach within West Ward through the development of a satellite service located within the extended school cluster. We will also have the capacity to deliver a limited home service for parents who cannot travel.
We will be using the CORE- (Clinical Outcomes in Routine Evaluation ) Information Management System to monitor and evaluate service outcomes.
Project Beneficiaries:
The project will provide individual counselling to 160 Greenwich parents with children under the age of 18 over the two years. The focus is on the West Ward, however, we will offer counselling to parents from other parts of Greenwich on a referral basis.
