Liverpool Arabic Centre is a registered charity and a Company limited by guarantee, which was first established in the late 1990's by parents as a voluntary community organisation. Its mission is "To advocate the social and economic wellbeing, improve the health and advance the education of the Yemeni and Arabic community whilst strengthening the awareness of the community within wider society through the celebration and promotion of all aspects of Arabic history, language, cultural heritage and identity."
LAC works towards achieving this mission by delivering a number of themed projects relating to health, social welfare, education, heritage, culture, and the arts within the local community of Liverpool.
One of LAC's strengths is its ability to engage the community through successful partnership working and its involvement in, and continuing contribution to the support and development of, Arabic and other Black & other Racial Minority network/agencies across Merseyside and the UK.

Promotes stronger family relationships and improved parental confidence and skills through intergenerational activity.

- 150 African/Muslim Fathers & Sons (including refugees/asylum seekers)
- 300 other family members
