Foresight works to improve the overall quality of life for disabled people their families and carers residing in North East Lincolnshire and surrounding areas. To achieve this we offer a range of user led services that offer new opportunities to our local community, building confidence and self esteem, improving health and well being and empowering individuals to maximise their potential and fulfil their aspirations. Through these services we promote ability not disability, remove the barriers to access and participation and encourage community involvement combating the social isolation and disadvantage faced by the majority of our local community. The key activities we undertake include delivery of learning and training, a befriending/ companionship service, a structured programme of sport and active recreation, volunteering opportunities and a children's schools holiday activity programme. In addition we represent the disabled community with a strong voice on networks, forums and steering groups both locally and regionally.

The Lincs Famiies Together project will operate throughout North East Lincolnshire and target parents responsible for young people and children with additional needs. Overall we will engage with 200 families with the aim to promote stronger family relationships and improve parental confidence and skills through intergenerational activity particularly in families who live with high degrees of conflict and distress. In addition we aim to promote inclusion and equality by enabling the take up of existing services by disadvantaged, vulnerable, 'hard to reach' and less well served communities with emphasis placed on promoting active and positive fatherhood.
