Community Pip is a multi-agency partnership between a medium third sector organisation and small community agencies.. The main vision of the partnership is to work collaboratively to strengthen the Parenting and Family Support work delivered across Manchester.
Examples of our approach include working with a youth based community organisation who reach many Teenage and Young parents, delivering advice, practical guidance and capacity building workshops aimed at reducing repeat Teenage pregnancies and improving parenting skills.
Our intended plan is to work with specific groups via specialist services. Community PiP will support and re-enforce evidenced based approaches and assist small agencies to develop effective policies, procedures and practices that will strengthen their agencies support to parents in their community.
As a result of Community PiP, 300+ parents will be supported with improved access to parenting information and parenting support. Many of these parents will benefit from individual and group based programmes offering informed guidance and practical support.
