The aims of the Organisation:
COPE: Black Mental Health Foundation is a registered Charity. COPE aims to deliver services in two core areas of work:
- Specialist support for clients with mental health needs due to the impact of family conflicts and socio-economic exclusions from the wider society
- Our Family Support Service is located at Henderson House Family Centre. It involves a range of effective and quality services that are complimentary, innovative and supportive to individuals and families.

Oasis Family Support Service
Empowering Families, Reviving Communities
Aims of the Project:
The Oasis Family Support Service will train, educate and counsel parents using a number of evidence based tools such as Time out for Parents and Positive Parenting Programmes. We aim to identify and manage problematic behaviour, including addiction and mental health; which may impact on parents' to be effective. The project will engage with 380 participants, who will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities i.e. Workshops/Seminars, Conferences and a Residential, over the lifespan of the project. Our programme will utilise specialised, targeted and culturally appropriate interventions to support families and equip them with the skills that they need to divert young people, many of whom may be at risk of becoming involved in Urban street Gangs.
