Community Resolve is a not-for-profit organisation based in central Bristol. We work with youth and community conflict through training, groupwork, conflict interventions and 1-1 support. Our diverse staff group is drawn from a range of local backgrounds and age groups.
Our Parenting Work Coordinator is overseeing a number of programmes:
- the Bristol Gang Awareness Project works with young people and adults to raise awareness of the costs and gains of belonging to gangs, and provides support and advice for parents with young people caught up in gangs/conflicts;
- our Managing Relationships parenting classes for young parents aged 13-23 looks at internal and external conflicts arising from parenthood;
- the Unity Project works to restore relationships between teens and their families in danger of family breakdown, with support for both teens and adults from a team of young and older workers;
- the 1+1=11 Project, which provides isolated Asian mothers with a safe, quiet space to explore difficult issues that they are facing within their home environments.
All our training and groupwork is available on demand, while 1-1 support for parents is provided at a venue most suitable for them. Please contact our Parenting Work Coordinator (contact at the side of the page) or visit our website for more information about the organisation.
