We are using the Parenting Fund to provide a parenting support base at DYP and Hackney Quest by offering one to one sessions and group programmes. We will be offering this service to parents whose children attend local primary schools, Hackney Free Secondary School and who are mentored at DYP or attend Hackney Quest. We are extending our parenting support service from two to four days a week, including some evening and weekends, to make the service more accessible to parents. We want to encourage parents to establish positive discipline with their children and make them better connected to the wider community. Our programme will provide the Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities programme to a wide range of parents and also offer individual case work support.
