Funding round
We are using our Round 2 grant to build on work funded in Round 1. In particular we plan to:
- Increase the diversity of BME communities using our service, in particular to attract more Eastern European and Arabic families
- Target more families of prisoners and travelling/Roma families who often receive less attention in the development of services
- Develop our high quality volunteer home visiting support.
- Support more parents in their parenting role by promoting positive parenting.
- Encourage families in accessing and making full use of local community resources.
- Provide more couple support for parents in difficulty by recruiting more parent 'couple' volunteers from a diversity of backgrounds and provide a service for couples to support couples
- Recruit volunteers who are/have been the child and/or partner of a prisoner, has been a parent in prison, from a travelling/Roma family background
- Train 12-15 more volunteers with an increased range of language skills in 'interpreting skills'.
- Expand the sharing and dissemination of our learning, in particular in partnership with the children's centre programme.
