Building on our Round 1 work we will continue to recruit and train volunteers to provide home-visiting parenting support to families in need throughout the whole of Redcar and Cleveland.
Our full time Project Organiser will arrange volunteer support for 35 to 40 families per week, for 2 to 3 hours each week. On average families receive Home Start support over an eight month period. Referrals come from Health Visitors, Social Workers, Sure Start and a variety of other agencies. Families can also self refer.
We have built up a substantial service in the area and are respected for the support we give. This type of family support works very well and prevents difficulties developing into crises for many families.
