Our project addresses the conflict that exists between young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and their parents, and to re-establish family norms. It provides early intervention aimed at getting young people and their parents to take responsibility for their actions. A 10 session x 2 hour course is to be delivered 5 times. Before each course there will be a family home/school assessment. Following this Family Action Plan targets will be set covering issues such as: homework, attendance, boundary setting around behaviour of teenagers, parents managing their anger around family issues.
All participants taking part will receive monthly reviews/counseling sessions around progress and target setting. Drop-in sessions will be provided. Each course will have 5 parents/5 teenagers (50 overall) and will cover:
- All Equal All Different, Introduction to Equal Opportunities

- So How do we Have a Good Argument Assertive or Aggressive, can we tell?
- My Alarm didn't go off! Personal/Family Organisation Skills ready to learn?
