We are using the Parenting Fund grant to employ specialist staff to help women get parenting support in their first language. This is vital as so much of our work is focused on rebuilding women's confidence in their ability to care for their children. The project will offer shared play sessions with women and their children. More intensive one to one work will be carried out in the refuge and at the counselling centre. Staff would also help women access other key services. Women and children would be supported to take up other relevant services, particularly ones which they can continue to access after resettling back into the community.
