The Children's Society is a charity dedicated to helping children get a decent chance in life by providing care and support for children promoting their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual development. The Society was established in 1881.

Right Track is a Children's Society project in Bristol. We work with Black and Minority Ethnic young people involved with the Youth Justice system or who might be at risk of offending. We want to build on the parents' strengths and love for their children to enable them to feel more confident in their parenting. Using the Parenting Fund we will offer advice, one to one support and a parenting group that will be lead by the parents' wishes. These activities will:

  • cover topics relevant to bringing up young Black people as well as looking at challenging behaviour and dealing with the police and the justice system
  • provide space for parents to share their expertise, skills and experiences with other parents of Black and minority ethnic young people
  • pass knowledge and information to other local relevant agencies.
