National Academy for Parenting Practitioners

Change the world step one

If we want to change the world then how our children grow up is a massively important place to make a start. The role of parents is critical to that, and our changing society and its changing demands on parents removes old certainties, leaving many with a real appetite for expert support from those they trust. There is a wide range of professional practitioners who work with parents who can support them in their parenting role, and getting thebest from that practitioner talent is essential.

The National Academy for Parenting Practitioners has been established, through a dynamic partnership between the Family and Parenting Institute, King's College London and Parenting UK, to ensure that high quality research about what is proven to work is communicated and augmented by new work. Turning all that research into action on the ground is fundamental to our role, and we exist to ensure that the work of parenting practitioners is supported through specialist training, through their own professional bodies' training and their individual professional development.

Principal Trainer
£300 per day

On behalf of the National Academy for Parenting Practitioner, Parenting UK is seeking to recruit a number of Principal trainers with extensive experience of parenting support. Principal Trainers will work with co-trainers and will be self-motivated, skilled and able to commit to delivering the 27 day training course for trainers of practitioners.
